Manufacturing unit
The main activity of TEMP JSC is production of calcium carbide.
Production is carried out on the basis of the interaction of the company's enterprises operating in a single technological chain, with a cycle from ore mining to production and sale of finished products.
Control of the emission of harmful substances into the atmosphere is carried out by a Certified Sanitary Laboratory of the Environmental Protection and Ecology Safety Department of TEMP JSC.
Calcium carbide is produced electrothermally in a kiln by fusing lime with coke.Key technical processes include the following steps:
- delivery and unloading of raw materials in the warehouse,
- preparation and supply of charge to the furnace,
- smelting of calcium carbide,
- release and cooling of calcium carbide,
- crushing, fractionation and packaging of calcium carbide,
- storage and shipment of calcium carbide.
To ensure its activities, the enterprise is equipped with its own infrastructure facilities:
- power supply complex,
- water supply and sewerage facilities and networks,
- access railroad track,
- roadway with access to the intercity highway,
- fleet of transport vehicles and special-purpose machinery.
All products of TEMP JSC have Certificates of Compliance of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
Quality control of products manufactured by the plant is carried out by an Accredited Testing Center.
Calcium Carbide application:
- as a primary product for acetylene production;
- upon receipt of calcium cyanamide;
- for iron desulfurization in metallurgy, in foundry production;
- in oxides reduction.
Finished calcium carbide is packed in hermetically sealed drums, as it actively absorbs moisture from the air, releasing acetylene at the same time.
Shipment of products is carried out in covered wagons, or self-delivery, by the buyer's vehicles.
In addition to the main products, the Chemical and Metallurgical Plant produces ferrosilicon manganese and oxygen. .
