TEMP JSC - is a fully integrated company the activities of which cover all stages, from ore mining to the production of a commercial product.
Having its own raw material base and production facilities TEMP JSC has created a complete production cycle: Raw materials - production - finished product.
- All products of TEMP JSC have Certificates of Compliance of the Republic of Kazakhstan.
- Quality control of products manufactured by the plant is carried out by an Accredited Testing Center.
- Control pollution emissions into the atmosphere is carried out by a Certified Sanitary Laboratory of the Environmental Protection and Ecology Safety Department of TEMP JSC.
The history of Chemical and Metallurgical Plant starts with the adoption of the Government Decree "On the construction of the SK-Sovpren-2 plant" near the city of Karaganda on 05.10.40:
- 01.04.1941 - start of construction
- 01.08.1942 - launch of the Nitrogen-Oxygen Shop
- 17.06.1943 - the first tons of carbide were obtained
- 1954 - start of carbonic acid production
- 1957 - drum production workshop
- 2000 - the first ferromanganese was obtained.
TEMP JSC includes enterprises of chemical, metallurgical and mining industries:
- Mining Administration for mining of manganese ores;
- Chemical and Metallurgical Plant for production of calcium carbide and ferroalloys.
- Yuzhno-Toparskoye Mining Administration.
All production divisions of TEMP JSC are united in a single process chain: Raw materials - production - finished product.
The final products manufactured by the company are manganese concentrate, ferrosilicon manganese and calcium carbide. The Chemical and Metallurgical Plant is the leading enterprise of the company, where the process chain is completed and final products are produced.
The history of Chemical and Metallurgical Plant starts with the adoption of the Government Decree "On the construction of the SK-Sovpren-2 plant" near the city of Karaganda on 05.10.40. The construction was started on the first day of April, 1941.
With the beginning of the Great Patriotic War, the construction of the plant was included in the number of priorities by the decision of the government. The launch of some workshops was carried out in stages. In June 1943 the first tons of carbide were obtained. Throughout the history of its existence, the plant produced acetaldehyde, acetic acid, carbon dioxide, ethyl acetate, divinyl, rubber, and vinylopol. During the years of perestroika fundamental changes took place. On 01.08.1998 TEMP JSC acquired the rights to own the plant. Thereby the plant gained a second birth.
A long-term program for complex development of the plant was developed and is being implemented up to this day. Calcium carbide production at ore-thermal furnace No. 4 was restored under a comprehensive program. The ore-thermal furnace No. 6 was reconstructed for the production of manganese ferroalloys. According to the planned Program, the development of the plant continues in different directions.
Quality assuarance
All products manufactured by TEMP JSC meet the requirements of the standards, have certificates of compliance of the Republic of Kazakhstan. Quality control of products manufactured by the plant is carried out by an Accredited Testing Center. Control pollution emissions into the atmosphere is carried out by a Certified Sanitary Laboratory of the Environmental Protection and Ecology Safety Department of TEMP JSC.

Calcium carbide
Calcium carbide is a crystalline substance. It's a result of chemical production. It is used - as a primary product for production of acetylene: upon receipt of calcium cyanamide; for desulfurization of cast iron in metallurgy, in foundry production, in the reduction of oxides.
